TRIPLE DISC SET FEATURING THE FINEST LIVE PERFORMANCES OF JEFFERSON AIRPLANE 1966-1970 Perhaps the most iconic band of the pioneering San Francisco acid rock phenomenon of the mid-to-late 1960s, Jefferson Airplane, formed in 1965, were headliners at each of the big three American rock festivals of the 1960s - Monterey, Woodstock and Altamont. The group also played at the first Isle Of Wight Festival in 1968. This 3CD set collects together the finest available live broadcast recordings of the Airplane in concert, recorded between 1966 and 1970 at such important Frisco venues as The Fillmore in 1966, Winterland in 1970, and at Hollands Concertgebouw, in Amsterdam, in 1969. Bonus cuts come from various television appearances made by the band in 67 and 68, which all together makes for one of the finest collections available of Jefferson Airplane in concert during their absolute heyday.
