One of the most aired artists at the college radio this spring. Say Hallo to The Woodsmen of Indie Pop The Sweet Serenades was officially formed in Stockholm, Sweden 2002. The sound is mainly influenced by great songs, broken hearts, sexual frustration and musical acts as Tom Waits, Clap your hands say yeah, Arcade Fire, The Strokes, ACDC, Eddie Meduza, ABBA, The Technicolors, The Perishers, The Shins and many more. Their album debut "Balcony Cigarettes" is fully loaded with shout backs, clapping and whooing. While recording the album, The Sweet Serenades have had the great opportunity to test their songs on Swedish prisons. Songs that didnt cause a riot where thrown away. The album also contains an atmospheric duet with Karolina Komstedt from Club 8 (Labrador records).
